The First Eighteen
This is a memoir about growing up in small Iowa towns from the late depression years through World War II. The story as told by an eighty-five-year-old retired attorney and judge, was written after his release from alcoholism and describes the innocence of his first eighteen years of life while recalling the places, persons, and events that shaped his future. It is a coming of age story with lessons about life and people.
