Terror in the Neighborhood
And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
-Revelation 12:7â€"9
Late in the seventeenth century, in the eastern part of the new America coastline, pilgrims built a settlement and named it Portsymth. The settlement had grown to be one of the wealthiest, most affluent societies in the country-affluent neighborhoods, large custom homes, perfect landscaping, expensive cars, upscale shops, fiveâ€"star restaurants, one of the topâ€"rated golf courses in the country, rolling green hills, crystal blue lakes, and clear blue skies.
It was a crimeâ€"free community, without any of the problems that one would find in the inner cities. Portsymth, however, did have a dark, shameful hidden history-a history so dark, so evil it had come back to haunt the entire community, sending the residents spiraling into sheer terror!
