Here We Still Discover
Raven Myter lives in a destructive world â€" whether selfâ€"inflicted or inflicted upon her. Between drug abuse, selfâ€"harm, suicide attempts, a physically abusive father, and an emotionally neglectful motherâ€"Raven has to deal with the fact that she is now pregnant at the age of sixteen. This pregnancy begins to change the dynamics of Raven's relationship with her best friend, her best friend's older brother, and her parents. It also inspires individual change in each of them, especially Raven.
When Raven leaves her Colorado home to live with her sister in California, she confronts the difficult task of deciding how important her life and her unborn child's life are, while having the possibility of a new life with new friends. The chance to break through the confines of her oppressive life in Colorado is at Raven's fingertips. But will she take that chance, especially when that life continually tries to pull her back to it?
